This Edradour 35 Year Old – Enigma No. 1 is a rare and enigmatic release from one of Scotland’s smallest and most traditional distilleries, founded in 1825 in the picturesque village of Pitlochry. Known for its rich, dense and heavily charactered spirit, Edradour produces a malt that transforms beautifully over long maturations.
After 35 years in cask—an exceptional age for the distillery—this whisky reveals remarkable depth: old fruits, polished wood, fine spices, wax, chocolate… a true journey into time-worn aromas, complex, dark, and exquisitely elegant.
Nose : Ancient dried fruits, prune, date, beeswax, dark chocolate, polished old wood, soft spices and hints of leather.
Palate : Rich and majestic. Cocoa, gentle coffee, dark candied fruits, deep marmalade, noble spices, dark honey and perfectly integrated precious oak. Velvety, expansive texture.
Overall : Very long, warm and refined. Wax, bitter chocolate, dried fruits, soft leather and a touch of incense.
