In 2002, for its sixtieth anniversary, Don Julio 1942 was born, a first-rate extra-anejo tequila. In addition to a selection of the finest blue agave, Don Julio 1942 is aged for over two years in ex-bourbon casks. With rich notes of candied cherries and nuts on the nose, generous tropical fruit and spice on the palate, and a subtle woody vanilla finish, Don Julio 1942 offers a luxurious and refined tasting experience to be discovered in this magnum bottling.
Nose : Sweet aromas of caramelized cherries, walnuts, almonds and chocolate. Cinnamon, oak and vanilla follow.
Appearance : Légèrement ambrée avec des reflets dorés, riches et profonds.
Palate : Silky, balanced aromas of cooked agave, vanilla, dried tropical fruit and spices.
