Nose : Fresh notes of sherry are interwoven with the Dalwhinnie’s more malty, honeyed aromas. Peaty but surprisingly, still with a note of heather coming through. Spicy and yet grapey.
Palate : A powerful spicy buzz is followed by an impressive accumulation of very distinct, well-defined malt. After a lively explosion of sweetness, a rich note of grapes fills the mid-palate.
Overall : Lots of oak. Ultra dry, despite being dominated by vanilla.
