Distilled in 2013, this whisky was aged for 12 years in specific casks: "Dechar Hogsheads" (a mix of American and French oak casks that underwent heavy charring). This is a very limited edition, with only 613 bottles produced. Bottled at 49.1% ABV, this single malt offers an unusual and intriguing take on Clynelish. While the famous "waxy" texture typical of the distillery is more discreet than usual, the influence of the casks brings a rich, spicy, and deeply mineral profile, offering a tasting experience that goes off the beaten path.

Nose : A highly mineral profile (slate, maritime notes, and ozone) beautifully balanced by the indulgence of candied cherries and orange zest.

Palate : Opens with gingerbread, fresh tobacco, sweet caramel, and orange liqueur. The delicate waxiness characteristic of Clynelish can be detected behind a subtly saline, mineral, and increasingly herbaceous character.

Overall : Medium length. It lingers on elegant notes of sandalwood, licorice, and a persistent sweetness.
