Developed by La Maison du Whisky and the blending specialist Compass Box, the New Vibrations Blending Experience box offers the most inquisitive palates an opportunity to learn about the art of blending. Comprising two whiskies, the blended grain 'A-Side' and the blended malt 'B-Side' unveiled in this Creations catalogue (see pages 14 and 15), this kit allows you to reproduce one of the three recipes developed by James Saxon, Compass Box's master blender, or to compose your own original version.

WHISKIES FOR TASTING
Since its creation in 2000, Compass Box has been restoring the prestige of blends, a category that had clearly been overshadowed by single malts since the 1980s. With its cuvées bearing inspiring names and skilful blends of malt whiskies and Scotch grain whiskies, the company defends an original, highly artisanal vision of the art of blending, far removed from industrial clichés.
For La Maison du Whisky's Créations catalogue, John Glaser has taken up the theme of New Vibrations by creating two limited editions: 'A-Side', a tangy, smooth and balanced blended grain, and 'B-Side', a bracing blended malt with smoky, medicinal accents.
These versions, whose titles refer to the inseparable sides of a vinyl record, have been designed to be enjoyed as they are, but also to be blended according to three different recipes with surprisingly distinct profiles, developed by Compass Box's whisky maker, James Saxon.
