Bottled at its natural degree, this version distilled in 2008 comes from a single hogshead cask, reconstituted from staves of ex-bourbon and new oak. It brings a soft and slow maturation, letting express all the aromatic richness of this distillery revered by peat lovers. This ageing process gives a peaty and smoky whisky, sublimated by the influence of time. Intense and balanced, this Caol Ila is rich and complex with a lovely long finish.
