CAOL ILA 2003 First Fill Bourbon Barrel Gordon & Macphail

Very refined, this Caol Ila bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for La Maison du Whisky gets straight to the point. In doing so, it possesses most of the hallmarks that have built this single malt's reputation: delicate smoke, light yet commanding peat, candied citrus, a few aromatic herbs for a finely herbaceous edge, noble spices and, above all, plenty of minerality and salinity. A fine honeyed note even rounds off the very end of the palate.
