Limited Edition released to celebrate the Ardbeg Day 2013. This rare expression was first matured for 10 years in Manzanilla sherry casks before being re-casked in ex-bourbon casks. The Spanish Manzanilla casks give saline aromas to the whisky while the bourbons casks bring a well-balanced sensation with creamy maple syrup._x000D_

Nose : pecan nuts, fudge, leather and a whiff of lavender and violets. Aromatic smoke, with salty Iberico ham and olives. With water, smoked rhubarb, aged balsamic vinegar and salty, 'graphite' notes.

Palate : oily/tingly mouthfeel leads to salty, savoury cashews, peanuts, clove, aniseed flavoured toffee, green olives and a curious hint of anchovy.

Overall : long and lingering with maple syrup sweetness kept in check by oak tannins, clove and coffee grounds
