A famous blended whisky from the 1970s, its letters of nobility were enriched by the person for whom it was imported to Italy: Edoardo Giaccone, who owned the 'Whiskyteca' bar at the time (you can't make that up), was the world's biggest whisky collector, and was even listed in the Guinness Book of World Records! Everything that was bottled for him received special attention from the Scottish producers, who didn't skimp on quality. Ye Auld Toun included malt from the Glenury Royal distillery, which closed in 1985.
