A famous bend, Vat 69 comes with a lot of history. It was first made in 1882 by William Sanderson - a spirit manufacturer from Leith, Scotland. To make this blend, Sanderson prepared 100 different whisky samples and hired a panel of expert tasters to select the best. They chose the 69th version, hence the name Vat 69. Blended with forty different malt and grain whiskies, it is a smooth, balanced whisky.

Nose : Rich and malty. Aromas of cereal, apple, pear and vanilla, accompanied by a slight woody note and a very subtle hint of smoke.
Palate : Smooth and rounded. The palate opens with notes of barley malt, buttered caramel and fresh fruit, developing into hints of biscuit and sweet spices.
Overall : Short to medium, clean. It finishes with cereal notes, a subtle hint of oak and a very delicate wisp of smoke.
