It is a Single Malt with a spicy, salty and peaty character. The taste is intensely peaty, with a distinctive hint of sea salt from the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, in northern Scotland. Nose : A fresh and fragrant nose. Through thick, pungent smoke, we find sweet pear and apple peel, with hints of sea salt from kippers and seaweed.
Palate : It is a crackling peat fire with black pepper, with a touch of brine and dry barley. A welcome delivery of orchard fruits brings a delicate and magnificent balance.
Overall : In a long finish, the embers of the bonfire roast the malt and crystallise a sweet undertone.
