GLEN GARIOCH 10 ans Summer 2022 Equinox & Solstice Decadent Drinks

A combination of two 1st fill bourbon barrels of Glen Garioch 2011 has been selected for this year's Summer edition of Equinox & Solstice. Bottled as usual at this series' trademark strength of 48.5%, this is a waxy, fresh, barley-sweet and superbly drinkable highland malt. Ideal for summer sipping and highballs. This year's series features label art by artist Melissa Nash. Melissa is based in Sutherland on the north-east coast of Scotland and her work features prominent themes of ecology, the natural world, Celtic mythology and folklore. Decadent Drinks is an independent bottler of whisky and other fine spirits. Angus MacRaild - also author of the WhiskySponge blog - is the founder. His philosophy is quality, fun and not taking life too seriously. This quirky side can be seen both in his blog and on the labels of his bottlings with this sponge character in a wide variety of styles. These bottlings, mostly single casks, are divided into different brands such as the Spongeverse, Equinox & Solstice and Equilibrium. The Spongeverse includes WhiskySponge, RumSponge, CognacSponge, ArmagnacSponge and WineSponge.
