This Edradour 35 Year Old – Enigma No. 2 reveals a different perspective on the traditional craftsmanship of the historic Pitlochry distillery. Since 1825, Edradour has produced a uniquely dense and characterful spirit, one that develops extraordinary complexity after decades of slow maturation.
This second Enigma edition expresses a mysterious depth: a whisky shaped by time, where aromas unfold in layered waves — dark, rich, and subtly oxidative. It evokes old warehouses, sherry-soaked timbers and time-worn, concentrated fruit notes.
Nose : Deep and enveloping. Black fruit paste, spiced marmalade, lush raisins, dark chocolate, warm wax and a hint of light tobacco.
Palate : Profound and textured. Stewed dark fruits, dark caramel, walnut, soft date and earthy spices. The ancient oak brings elegance and structure without overshadowing the spirit.
Overall : Lingering, velvety and contemplative. Roasted black fruits, bitter chocolate, wax and a dry whisper of mature oak.
