Beyond traditional pot stills, Laizhou distillery is also equipped with column stills, enabling the simultaneous production of both malt and grain whiskies. Carefully blended, they give birth to a single blended whisky, a rare category where both malt and grain whiskies come from a single distillery. BLENDER 22 is named after its unique process: two traditional pot still distillations and two maturation phases, with rotation through bourbon casks. This meticulous approach, combining double distillation and strategic cask management, gives the whisky remarkable complexity while respecting traditional methods.
