This 21 years old whisky started its journey maturing in American oak ex-Bourbon casks for 15 years, however, its distinctive character was created by an extended further maturation period. Indeed, the finest Spanish oak casks seasoned with Oloroso wine were meticulously hand-selected for the final six years of the ageing process; imparting spiced fruity flavours and a deep, rich color. At Balblair, they believe in quality above all else so we don't make that much. They take the time needed to create a whisky with distinctive taste and captivating multidimensional character. The result is a whisky crafted to perfection; elegantly understated and quite self-assured.
