Nose : Rich, deep. On the first nose, refined peaty fragrances take up the entire aroma palette. Allowed to breathe, the nose becomes salty, empyreumatic (rubber) and medicinal (aspirin, arnica). White flowers (lilac, lily of the valley) add a heady and refreshing dimension.

Appearance : Or vif.

Palate : Full-bodied, invigorating. The peat takes on herbal (cut hay), rooty (gentian) and spicy (ginger) tones. On the mid-palate, flavours of vanilla (pod) and coconut milk flood the taste buds, followed by notes of pressed lemon.

Overall : Long, rich. Staying close to the palate, the finish is juicy (William’s pear), ashy, herbal (lucerne) and milky (soya). In the after-taste, mustard seed and ointment flavours make way for cigar smoke that lingers in the air long after.
