Founded in 1823, the Auchentoshan distillery is equipped with three stills: 1 wash still (17,500 litres), 1 intermediate still (8,200 litres) and 1 spirit still (11,500 litres). After the third distillation, the new make it produces runs at 82%. Very different from the Auchentoshan Artist from our 2020 Catalogue Création, also distilled in 2000, this release unanimously praised by the team at 20 rue d'Anjou possesses all the hallmarks that have built this single malt's reputation. On the nose, rich in major assets, it relies on an unalterable minerality to better showcase the quality and diversity of its fruity and floral registers. On the palate, radiant with maturity, it constantly gains in complexity and concentration, like the finish that appropriates, down to the last drop, every note of the tasting.
