La Maison du Whisky unveils its new range of rarities, Les Académies Collectors: boxes containing three to six emblematic bottlings, in miniature versions (2cl vials). Each box includes a video (available online) in which La Maison du Whisky's renowned expert Salvatore Mannino reveals the history and secrets of the selection. These Collector's Academies offer an opportunity to discover these exceptional whiskies through a number of different themes that will be developed in several chapters. The first chapter of the 'Blends' Collectors' Academies is dedicated to the history of Scotch blends, the dominant category in the whisky industry in the 1970s. Today, single malts are all the rage, but the nineteenth and twentieth centuries were largely dominated by blends, which made this spirit known and democratised throughout the world.
