Velier 70th Anniversary

The limited series presented in this second section are taken from Velier’s anniversary catalogue. Drop by drop, these pages paint a detailed picture of the company and its director. The four bottlings in the “Four Daughters” range celebrate the birthdays of Luca’s four daughters. The “La Première Fois” series is made up of vintages that pay tribute to the first collaborations between Velier and its partner distillers and bottlers. We find a 1966 Ben Nevis from Signatory Vintage and three Capovilla eau-de- vies. There are also two “Drop by Drop” bottlings, with which Velier celebrates two giants of rum distillation, Richard Seale and Vittorio Gianni Capovilla, the master distiller of Foursquare in Barbados and Rhum Rum on Marie Galante respectively. Despite recently celebrating its 70th birthday, Velier has never seemed so inspired. Far from seeking out a peaceful retirement, it tirelessly pushes the boundaries of the senses and knowledge, much to our delight. Buon Compleanno!
