NORTH BRITISH 13 ans 2008 Signatory Vintage

Founded in 1885 in the Lowlands, North British is one of Scotland's oldest and largest grain distilleries. With a production capacity of around 70 million litres of alcohol a year, most of the distillate is used in blends. A few casks occasionally resurface at independent bottlers. This 12-year-old version, distilled in 2007, has a delicious, charming profile, with sweet notes of vanilla, walnuts and wheat. The whiskies in the Single Grain Collection range are bottled reduced to 43% from small batches of casks, uncoloured and chill-filtered. Made from a variety of cereals, the grain whiskies are characterised by their round, approachable profile.
