DERRUMBES N. 2 Michoacan

The second expression of Derrumbes is an elegant combination of the iconic agaves from Michoacán and its unique ancestral distillation technique. The Agave Cupreata brings ripe fruit notes, while the Agave Americana adds a delicate herbal character, similar to the pine forests that surround it. Fermented in red clay soil in pits lined with pine, the piñas are cooked and crushed, then distilled in Michoacán-style Philippine alambics made of wooden staves and copper over direct flame. This rare and exceptional sensory experience is the work of the renowned maestro Guadalupe Perez, from the village of Tzitzio.
