From the Founding House of Japanese Whisky and Japan’s first malt whisky distillery (Yamazaki, 1923), this exquisite single malt has been fully matured for over 18 years in Mizunara casks — a rarity in the market, where most are only finished in Mizunara. This unique ageing process unlocks an aroma found only after long maturation, evoking temples and shrines. Overseen by Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo, awarded Master Blender of the Year (International Spirits Challenge 2024), this prestigious malt embodies the craftsmanship of Tsukurikomi and Tsukuriwake, a timeless dedication to whisky making. The Mizunara cask, the foundation of Yamazaki’s character, plays a unifying role in shaping its flavour — a style acclaimed worldwide, with the 12-Year-Old winning Supreme Champion Spirit at ISC 2024. Its presentation box is crafted from Mizunara wood, reflecting the rarity of this release.
