Nose : Lively yet refined. The nose displays delicate earthy, smoky, mineral, lemon and aniseed notes as well as malt and vanilla. Allowed to breathe, this initial sequence makes way for fragrances of mint and rosemary that highlight the aroma palette’s herbal development.

Appearance : Or pâle.

Palate : Clean, full of tension. The refined attack recreates the lemon, vanilla, peaty and ashy character of the nose, adding medicinal nuances (ointment, arnica). On the mid-palate, a fine layer of liquorice mixed with distillate flavours coats the taste buds.

Overall : Long, well-balanced. Medicinal and spicy (clove, nutmeg), the finish stages a liquorice and salty peat. Then, almost unexpectedly, it ventures into a world of juicy fruit (peach, pear). The harmonious after-taste is dominated by malted barley.
