Air de Plaine is the first single malt in the permanent range, showcasing the aromas of malt, straw, and pastry — Soligny’s signature style — combined with honeyed and fruity notes. Crafted exclusively from our spring barleys Planet and Laureate, it offers a soft, rounded cereal profile from the former and liveliness and complexity from the latter. The maturation takes place in new French oak casks, ex-Burgundy wine barrels, and ex-whisky casks from our own distillery.
Nose : Expressive and elegant, with aromas of malt, fresh straw, honey, and orchard fruits, lifted by delicate pastry notes.
Palate : Smooth and balanced, combining sweet cereals and vanilla creaminess with subtle hints of dried fruits and gentle spices from the oak.
Overall : Lingering and harmonious, marked by honeyed sweetness, light toasted wood, and a touch of minerality.
