A white grape variety that takes its name from the Italian village of Tramin an der Weinstraße, Traminer aromatico is another name for the Gewürztraminer that is highly popular in the Trentino-Alto Adige/South Tyrol region. Grappa di Traminer is an eau de vie made from a single grape variety marc, or 'monovitigno'. Characterised by notes of yuzu, citron, lime, herbs, spices and flowers, this is a refreshing, spring-like grappa.
Nose : exceptional, it plays on a citrusy register, stretching from yuzu to citron via lime.
Palate : oily, it emerges as almost resinous with powerful notes of jasmine and Japanese pepper.
Overall : long and highly changeable, with spices, flowers and citrus fruit.
