A blend of Merlot and Cabernet, supplemented with other varieties such as Tokay, this grappa is the only one authorised to be labelled “Di Bassano” (del Grappa), from the historic town where this Italian spirit was invented. The four wine producers in this commune all work exclusively with the Capovilla distillery! This low alcohol content grappa is a perfect introduction to traditional Italian marc brandy.
Nose : particularly expressive and complex, after opening it develops very herbaceous notes of white fruit (pears).
Palate : both supple and dry, it offers well-defined flavours of pears, red grapes and almonds. Persistent vegetal notes.
Overall : medium length with fruity, herbaceous notes.
