In September 2022, the Kavalan distillery acquired a third ageing cellar. Erected over seven floors and equipped with a ventilation system to limit thengels' share, it has a greater capacity than the two existing cellars combined. This Kavalan Single Cask, exclusive to La Maison du Whisky, reflects Taiwanese excellence and innovation in the art of whisky making. With a strong character, it reveals an aromatie palette where peat meets warm, gourmand nuances. Its rich. complex aromas evolve with fascinating precision, revealing fruity, spicy and woody facets of rare intensity.

Slightly Peated

Nose : Opulent. The first scents offer a soft, almost velvety smoke, enhanced by accents of ripe fruit (candied apricot, poached pear) and honey. Hints of spice (white pepper, cinnamon) and wood (sandalwood) enrich the nose. revealing a subtle minty freshness.

Palate : Powerful. Elegant peat intertwines with notes of salted butter toffee and dried fruit (almond, fig). Slight acidity evokes candied citrus, while warm spices and a delicate woody bitterness add depth and complexity.

Overall : Persistent. Chocolate and caffeine accents blend with smoky, slightly saline notes. The sweetness of exotie fruits (mango, roasted pineapple) combines with a lingering spiey, touch, leaving a lasting impression of refinement and richness.
