Thanks to its hot and humid climate, Thailand offers ideal conditions for growing sugarcane, a practice that dates back to the 14th century. While the country’s first sugar refinery was founded in 1937, Thailand is today the world’s second-largest exporter of cane sugar. Distilled in a column still, this rum was aged for four years in a tropical climate before continuing its maturation in continental conditions. Proudly bold and free-spirited, it takes us on a sensory journey into new aromatic and flavour territories — where one is invited to slow down and let the unexpected emerge. Long after the tasting, lingering notes of rose petals and bright red fruits (strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant) bear stunning witness to its singularity.

Nose : Rich, unctuous. Opening with a beautiful rancio character (apricot kernel, beeswax), the aromatic profile gradually becomes chocolatey, jammy (prune), and exotic (roasted mango, guava). With aeration, aromas of flambéed banana and rum baba add a delicate empyreumatic note.

Appearance : cuivre orangé.

Palate : Clean, vibrant. Herbaceous (sugarcane) and at the same time smooth (warm cane sugar), the flavour profile unfolds on particularly juicy citrus notes (blood orange). As it gains in indulgence, it invites us to savour a delicious caramelised apricot tart.

Overall : Long, layered. Marked by walnut husk notes that underscore a beautifully controlled ageing process, the finish carries us into nobly spiced realms (cinnamon, nutmeg, cumin, clove). Powdery (cocoa) and delicately liquorice-like, the retro-olfaction oscillates between candied ginger, dried fruits (fig, date), and a zesty marmalade.
