EDRADOUR 13 ans 1st Fill Sauternes Hogsheads

This version of Edradour is a 13-year-old bottled at its natural strength of 48.20%, aged entirely in first-fill Sauternes casks. This Highland single malt offers a rich and opulent version, with aromas of marmalade, vanilla, and hazelnut. Founded in 1825 under the name Glenforres and renamed Edradour in 1837, this distillery was bought in 2002 by Andrew Symington, founder of the Signatory Vintage trading house. Since 2018, its single malt has been produced in the brand new adjacent distillery. An exact replica of the old distillery, it is equipped with a Morton mash cooler, the only one of its kind in Scotland, eight Oregon pine washbacks, a 4,200-liter wash still and a 2,200-liter spirit still.
