The third whiskey in this series is called Bealtaine and celebrates late spring and early summer. Matured in first fill bourbon casks before a long finish in Syrah wine casks, this single pot still is very smooth and pleasant.
Nose : Sweet and pastry. Sweet aromas of raisins, sweet dates and vanilla cream.
Palate : Warm and dense. Black cherries in syrup, caramel with nuts and dark chocolate.
Overall : Warm and spicy. The syrupy texture gives way to a rather spicy finish.
