Inspired by the 17th-century French chef François Massialot and the history of turning natural sugars into delicious delicacies using ever more sophisticated techniques, this limited edition features single malts aged in special American white oak casks - Aberlour, Ardbeg, Clynelish and Speyburn among them. These casks, toasted and burned with scientific precision, impart aromas of peach, butterscotch and spiced molasses. There's an art to barrel toasting! The label features artwork depicting Versailles as the epicenter of innovation in the 17th century, with particular emphasis on the kitchens where Massialot created his masterpieces, notably the crème brulée.
