Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2012 is an unpeated single malt, distilled, aged and bottled on Islay. Made from Bere barley, an ancient variety, very different from modern strains and which was abandoned due to its very low yields. Bruichladdich reintroduces this historic variety with its rich and unique flavor, which was used by the first distillers in Scotland.
Bruichladdich is the only distillery to bottle its whisky on the island itself.
