ARHUMATIC Passion - Cranberries (Atoca)

The latest limited edition from Arhumatic, Atoca refers to a fruit cultivated for centuries by Amerindians: the cranberry. In fact, the Iroquois called this delicious, tart fruit "cranberry".
ATOCA combines maracudja and cranberry. The maracudja is a cousin of the passion fruit, just as fruity but more tart. The cranberry is a highly acidic, slightly bitter fruit that grows wild in peat bogs, but is also mostly cultivated in the USA and Canada.
These two fruits blend perfectly with the rum, giving it its lovely golden-brown color. The nose is lively and tangy, then gives way to a fruity, gourmet palate, carried by the maracuja. Flavors of raisins and slight bitterness fill the mouth for the finish.
