Magazine, France, Ref: 3293

In this first issue of 2015, we went to meet the incredible collector Sukhinder Singh. We looked at how distilleries evolve through time. And more specifically, at how knowledge is passed on to successors in the world of whisky. A burning, current question. We went in search of an American legend: Jack Daniel, at his Lynchburg distillery. Lastly, we visited the Isle of Jura, where George Orwell wrote his famous novel 1984. In this Special Armagnac issue, we have taken a particular interest in independent bottlers. But we also asked a pure-bred Scot to gives us his thoughts on production and the product itself. A highly edifying experience! You will also find an interview with Jean-Pierre Cointreau, CEO of the Renaud-Cointreau group, and what you might call one of the last of the Mohicans. We also met up with a selection of small cognac producers and Hennessy. Lastly, we took a little detour in German-speaking Switzerland with Matter house, a distillery as precise as a Swiss cuckoo clock.
