Nose : fine, fleshy. Revealing delicious fragrances of hawthorn, vine flower and cane juice, the first nose is like an exceptional Quarts de Chaume wine. Allowed to breathe, geranium honey, cinnamon and a sublime fruity (pineapple, banana, apricot) and powdery (cocoa, rice) liqueur appear alongside vetiver aromas. Outstanding! Notes of mint and cinnamon gradually fill the air.

Appearance : bright gold.

Palate : smooth, delicate. On the attack, sugar cane releases a rich and floral juice (peony, rose, hyacinth). On the mid-palate, noble spices (cardamom, ginger) appear alongside gentian and tiger balm. This energetic interlude precedes a new sequence of heady florals (bougainvillea, petunia, geranium). The radiant end of the palate evokes a sugar cane field warmed by the midday sun.

Overall : The absolutely magnificent start of the finish highlights the flavour palette’s silky and refreshing mouthfeel. At the same time, infusions of aromatic plants (camomile, sage, verbena) envelop the taste buds in delicately herbaceous tannins. The retro-nasal olfaction is characterized by notes of beeswax, candied lemon, nutmeg and coriander. The very concentrated empty glass is spicy (star anise), honeyed (lavender), roasted and vegetal (tea leaf).
