Tasting note

  • Appearance : paille à reflet vert
  • Nose : très parfumé. Hésite entre les fruits acidulés et bien mûrs (pêche), les fleurs capiteuses et une fraîcheur mentholée/poivrée et anisée. De la jeunesse c’est certain, mais domptée. Orge maltée en abondance.
  • Palate : gourmande et douce à la fois. Evoque un bâton de caramel dur. Evolue sur l’agave et le poivre avant de se ressaisir sur les fruits secs encore laiteux, noisette. Une note fermière.
  • Overall : toute en douceur et en céréales.

Artist, Lands of Scotland, Malt Pedigree, Tartan, The Ten, Very Cloudy... all of these whisky ranges – composed of single malts and single grains – have one thing in common: they were all created by the team at La Maison du Whisky. They are the fruits of many decades of close collaboration with some of the most prestigious bottlers in Scotland. For some years the French importer and exclusive distributor of the classic ranges of well-known spirits producers, La Maison du Whisky was soon granted the very rare privilege of being able to complement these ranges with their own, bringing together two sets of expertise, two reputations and two complementary histories under one, single label.


The line

Created in 2010 by La Maison du Whisky, the Ten range was conceived and selected as an introductory range for Scotch whisky enthusiasts. The whiskies are thus classified according to their character, from the lightest (00) to the most powerful (09). This range presents the ten basic Scottish styles, from light grain whisky to the heavily peated malts from the isle of Islay, not forgetting the Lowlands, Speyside and the Highlands. The first single malts in this series are aged in second-fill casks, allowing the whiskies to fully express their fruity/floral character, while the second, more powerful half have been aged in sherry casks or are very peaty.
