Description

Fruité, gourmand. Ananas, chocolat noir, vanille, raisins secs.

Tasting notes

Nose : Vibrant toasted oak notes straightaway. Stewed peach pops out, as does pineapple (both dehydrated and in sherbet form). Blood orange, vanilla and honey. Hints of raisin and sultana flow into a subtle but enjoyable hint of tart blackcurrant. Light, crisp ginger cake and strawberry jam.

Palate : Immediately round and creamy. Fruity and very rich - Cognac-like wood spice and raisin. A wedge of herbal peatiness appears, before developing to orange and toffee.

Overall : Begins with the herbal peat, then the Sherry influence starts to build. Raisins and toasted almonds. Cooling notes of vanilla, coconut and ripe pear come next while a gentle earthy spice lingers longest.
