STROH 80 80%
Autres Rhums, Austria, 70cl, Ref: 16021
With the highest alcohol content in a range of 5 products, Stroh 80 is an Austrian drink created in 1832 in the Inländer-Rum tradition; these were spirits from countries in which the Austrian empire had no colonies, blended together to reproduce the flavour of a rum. Produced today from a sugar cane alcohol base (in accordance with European legislation), this spiced rum has been masterfully assembled. Used, at least in its strongest versions, in cooking and for preparing traditional punches, Stroh 80 has become an essential feature of Austrian culinary culture. To be used for cakes, cocktails and punches.
- The brand
The brandAs Austria had no access to colonies in tropical regions, rum producers originally tried to recreate the rum taste. Originally referred to as Inländer-Rum ("domestic rum"), Stroh was first distilled in 1832 in St. Paul in Lavanttal in Carinthia, Austria. With this spirit, Sebastian Stroh started an Austrian success story that would continue for more than 180 years. At the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900, STROH was awarded for the "Grand Gold Medal". Today, STROH still is the leading spirits brand from Austria and is sold in more than 40 countries all over the world.

parfait pour le vin chaud flambé ! attention, ce n'est pas un rhum à boire - les 80 % brûlent le palais -, mais à flamber et/ou à parfumer des desserts ou pâtisseries
