SINGLETON Of Dufftown Sunray 40%
Single Malt Whisky, Scotland / Speyside, 70cl, Ref: 18596
A mellow and complex expression whose rich honeyed notes have been accomplished through a maturation in specially selected toasted bourbon barrels.
- Appearance : gold
- Nose : Incredibly smooth and dominated initially by brown Demerara sugar and stewed apples, followed by notes of heather honey and hints of flowers. Next we find notes of blackcurrant and blackberry that balance the malty sweetness.
- Palate : Round and creamy, the spice mixes delicately with the fruit.
- Overall : Sweet, characterised by notes of vanilla and blackcurrant.
- The brand
The Singleton of Dufftown was born in Speyside, a region considered to be the birthplace of Scottish distillation. The distillery was founded in 1896, in the town of Dufftown. Since its creation, it has used the best local spring, known as “Highlandman John’s well”, for the production of its whiskies. The Singleton is matured predominately in European oak casks that have been previously used for ageing sherry. This gives the whisky increased depth and more intense aromas. The time and care put into fermenting and distilling this single malt result in a naturally rich, deliciously unctuous and perfectly balanced whisky.

Le whisky est âpre et très sec en bouche. J'avais acheté le même whisky il y a quelques années, et je me souvenais d'un whisky très doux avec des notes de miel. Je suis déçu cette fois-ci.
