Curaçao is an island in the midst of turquoise waters, home to white sandy beaches and a real paradise on earth. This Caribbean haven is also known around the world for its blue curaçao. La Maison Pierre Ferrand invites us to discover this beverage in a more amber-toned, but no less evocative and inspiring version. The result is a rich, complex and finely balanced liqueur that adds a touch of sophistication to punches, slings, fizzes and other cocktails. This liqueur is also delicious neat over ice.

- Appearance : Topaz.
- Nose : Precise, heady. Bitter orange + dark chocolate = orangette. Transforms into a combination of mandarin and lemon zest, taking on a more roasted, coffee-inspired aspect. The orange then melds into apricot and mango.
- Palate : Gourmand, fine. The orange here is seasoned with spices (cardamom), dark chocolate, almond, acacia honey, ginger, a pinch of salt, lavender, violet and a handful of dark berries (blackberry, blueberry).
- Overall : Long, full-bodied. It awakens each and every taste-bud. With notes of ivy, oak, mushrooms (boletus) and apricot kernel, the Cognac influence here is clear. In this respect, it marks a return to tradition.
- The brand
The Pierre Ferrand estate is located in Angeac, in the golden triangle of Cognac, in the heart of the limestone terroir of Grande Champagne. Distillation is carried out in small pot stills (25 hl) in order to gain a maximum concentration of aromas, and the role of cellar master has been passed down from father to son through five generations. A grand terroir, small stills and ancient skills and expertise are all brought together to produce one of the best premier crus of Cognac. But the impressive skills of the house don’t end there! It also produces numerous gins and vodkas, as well as a liqueur and its own range of rums.

Composition originale et harmonieuse. Il gagnerait en saveur si le degré d'alcool était un peu moins élevé.
