Tasting
Nose : Fresh, herbaceous. Without a trace of woodiness, it develops a range of fruit, with grapes in the front line. The grapes are followed by apples, pineapple, pears, white peaches.... and a dash of star-anise. In this respect, it is not unlike certain Highla
Palate : Lively, precise. A hint of vanilla and a slightly medicinal character (cough drops) mingle with white flowers (lily of the valley) and vine flowers. Superb freshness. The candied citrus fruit lead into a chalky minerality.
Overall : Long, balanced. Solid base, constructed on foundations of dark chocolate, liquorice, candied lemons and pears. Lingers with notes of almonds and fresh walnuts. Fruity retronasal olfaction (pears).
