Steven and Vivienne Muir created the North Berwick distillery in 2013. It produces gin using 100% English grain spirit in which eight plants are macerated, including juniper, citrus fruit peel, coriander, angelica and iris root, cardamom, and cassia bark. In 2015 this gin was voted best London Dry Gin in the world. Extremely pure and particularly forthright, the initial nose is floral (carnations, rosew), fruity, spicy (cardamom, cinnamon) and mentholated. It gets progressively stronger and reaches a climax on notes of spices (star anise, cloves) and chillies. The palate is ample and complex. On the mid-palate, the limes then become laced with vanilla and a very pleasant hint of incense
A savourer sur des fruits fermes et délicats : grenade.
