Description

This 31 year old Highland Park, distilled in 1989, was aged in a Refill Sherry Butt before being bottled at its natural strength in the Connoisseur Choice Upper range. Of all the existing trading ranges, Connoisseur Choice is probably the oldest. Reviewed and modified several times since its creation, this range knows how to preserve all its quality and its essence. Connoisseurs Choice single malts invite the connoisseur to discover the unique expressions of Scotland's finest distilleries, through different strengths, maturations, years and profiles.

Tasting notes

Nose : Golden sugar complements dark cherry and soft spice. Orange zest develops alongside pressed apples, nutmeg and subtle smoke.

Appearance : Or foncé

Palate : Sweet fruitcake is accompanied by faint dried tobacco. Butterscotch comes to the fore alongside ripe red apple with a hint of garden mint.

Overall : Medium to long with lingering fruit and spice.
