This 31 year old Highland Park, distilled in 1989, was aged in a Refill Sherry Butt before being bottled at its natural strength in the Connoisseur Choice Upper range. Nose : Golden sugar complements dark cherry and soft spice. Orange zest develops alongside pressed apples, nutmeg and subtle smoke.

Appearance : Or foncé

Palate : Sweet fruitcake is accompanied by faint dried tobacco. Butterscotch comes to the fore alongside ripe red apple with a hint of garden mint.

Overall : Medium to long with lingering fruit and spice.
