Originating from the Negros Occidental island in the Philippines, Don Papa is a celebration of the ancient Asian tradition of sugar cane farming. It takes its name from a sugar plantation master who became a hero in the Philippines revolution in the 19th century, Dionisio Magbuelas, known as “Papa Isio”. Aged in bourbon casks for a minimum of 7 years at the foot of the Kanlaon Volcano, this rum overflows with gourmand flavours with gorgeous notes of vanilla and fruit.
Located in Dufftown, in the very heart of Speyside - one of the most favourable regions for the production and maturation of whisky - this distillery has proudly continued the work of its founder for 120 years and has remained in the hands of the same family since its creation. It is undoubtedly this fierce independence that has made it one of the most famous single malts in the world and an ambassador for Scottish tradition across the globe.
