Decadent Drinks is an independent bottler of whisky and other fine spirits. Angus MacRaild - also author of the WhiskySponge blog - is the founder. His philosophy is quality, fun and not taking life too seriously. This quirky side can be seen both in his blog and on the labels of his bottlings with this sponge character in a wide variety of styles.
These bottlings, mostly single casks, are divided into different brands such as the Spongeverse, Equinox & Solstice and Equilibrium. The Spongeverse includes WhiskySponge, RumSponge, CognacSponge, ArmagnacSponge and WineSponge.
Tasting notes
Nose : Des fruits en fermentation, du malt, une douceur naturelle, de la pomme verte et diverses huiles minérales avec une touche de toile de jute et de cire. Très amusant et aussi excellent !
Palate : Le funk bien connu de Fettercairn est là, mais il est aussi superbement gras, texturé, légèrement cireux, avec des notes de fruits verts et jaunes mûrs, de camphre, de mastic et d'huiles essentielles. Old school, inhabituel et déliceux.
Overall : Moyennement et poivrée avec du bois de cèdre, des écorces d'agrumes et des notes de levure de bière.
