Tasting notes
Nose : lively, almost bellowing, the initial nose begs to be tamed. Which makes sense when you consider its high strength! Once these pleasantries are over, it reveals itself to be slender, herbaceous, fruity (orange) and spicy (black pepper). Allowed to breathe, its confidence remains de rigueur, it simply becomes more refined. Liquorice and dark chocolate even give it a certain smoothness._x000D_
_x000D_
_x000D_
_x000D_
Palate : lively yet more unctuous than the nose implies. Hot (Cayenne pepper, paprika) and initially grain-inspired. Generous, its fruitiness intensifies (white grape, apricot), whilst its perfectly integrated wood provides the bitterness needed for its structure. At the very end of the palate, bourbon vanilla and some spice (turmeric, ginger) transcend these energetic flavours._x000D_
Overall : long, creamy. Pepper, aromatic plants (chervil, oregano), cashew nuts, green liquorice, red fruits (raspberry, red currant), beeswax and more... all of these notes blend together wonderfully without ever fading away. The retro-nasal olfaction is divinely chocolatey and the empty glass dominated by minerality and firmness._x000D_
