Description
Tasting notes
Nose : Extremely fresh. A little closed off, mellow and waxy initially before turning grassy with notes of hay that stand out against a sweet, malted backdrop. Once it has opened up, fresh head notes of vanilla and floral honey rise to the surface. A splash of water highlights fruity touches with liquid honey and a dash of bitter orange. The earthy aroma morphs into beeswax punctuated by spicy pepper.
Appearance : Intense yellow gold.
Palate : Unctuous and mellow texture. Mentholated, a smidgen sweet and lemony with a fresh twist. Malty too, with a pleasantly-scented and unexpected mid-palate. The base here is dry. Water softens and seasons the concoction while revealing notes of caramel and cloves, becoming drier and more aromatic with heightened aromas of heather.
Overall : Fairly short, mouth-watering and dry. Refreshing and mentholated with a fragrance of pine resin and smoke coming next, culminating in a woody finish. Water reinforces its dry character, warming it and adding a spicy flourish that reveals a hint of eucalyptus.
