Description
Cardhu Amber Rock benefits from a double maturation in bourbon casks and then in re-burned casks. This specificity allows it to reveal all the richness of Cardhu's original character: an intense fruitiness and an enveloping roundness, enhanced by vanilla notes.
This 2021 box invites the connoisseur to dive into the origins of the Cardhu distillery, to discover its fascinating history and to understand the subtleties of its liquid. Through the hand-drawn watercolors in the box, a journey to the heart of Speyside is offered. To complete the experience, the box suggests a pairing with Parma ham in keeping with the flavors of Cardhu Amber Rock.
Tasting notes
Nose : Sucré, avec des notes exotiques de litchi et de poire, équilibrées par la mandarine douce. Les fruits s’effacent ensuite pour laisser place à la richesse de l’arôme malté souligné de caramel, de miel et de sucre d’orge. On décèle également des notes de vanille, de pommes et de poires au sirop, relevées par le clou de girofle.
Palate : Epicé et rond, les arômes de pommes et de poires douces marinées laissent place aux notes de chêne toasté. Une touche finale à base de guimauve, de chocolat au lait crémeux et de vanille.
Overall : Longue et onctueuse, on retrouve les saveurs d’une cerise acidulée enrobée de chocolat noir, ainsi que le chêne toasté et les agrumes.
