- The brand
The Cambus distillery was officially established in 1813 in the Lowlands, about 25 miles north of Glasgow. In addition to its single malt, from 1823 up until its closure in 1993, it also produced a single grain whisky which was used for the United Distillers blends.
MerchantValinch & Mallet is a young Italian independent bottler of single cask bottled at natural cask strength without chill-filtration. It was created by two individuals, coming from different backgrounds, united by the common passion for whisky and the desire to transform it into a profession. Each cask of whisky being unique by nature, this characteristic is transferred to the bottles: each of them has a handmade metallic plaque, where the information of each specific cask has been engraved by a fine blacksmith, thus creating unique works of art.
