Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon is a straight whiskey made almost exclusively in Kentucky (but this is not compulsory) from a mixture of grains containing at least 51% corn. The other grains used in bourbon are barley, malt and rye.
If a bourbon has been aged for less than four years, this must be stated on the label. Lastly, if the mix of grains contains wheat instead of rye, it is known as ‘wheated bourbon’.
